Janik's Dirty Bird is an Umpqua Signature Fly Pattern that was designed and created by Tony Janik. It has been a staple fly pattern in our shop for years; and for year-round redfish in a wide array of fisheries and scenarios. From flood tides and mud flats, to the everglades and the Texas coast; this pattern is reliable. Materials in this Tying Kit include:
- 210 Thread (Black)
- Brass Eyes (Medium, Gold)
- EP Shrimp Dub .75" (Hot Orange)
- Strung Barred Neck Hackle (Tan)
- Palmer Chenille (Medium, Root Beer)
- Centipede Legs (Medium, Black)
Hooks are not included in Tying Kits. However, the hook we recommend tying this pattern on is the Umpqua XS560H Jig Hook in size 4. This kit will allow you to tie 15+ flies. You will have excess materials for future use.
