The Flood Bug has been a staple fly pattern in Jacksonville for many years now. It is an exceptional flood tide fly and was originally tied/designed by Tag Sufferling. Materials for this bug are listed below:
- 210 Thread (Brown)
- Bead Chain Eyes (Medium, Black)
- EP Fiber (Dk. Brown)
- Krystal Flash (Rusty Brown)
- Pearl Chenille (Brown)
- Fly Foam (3mm, Brown)
- Fly Foam (3mm, Orange)
Hooks are not included with Tying Kits. However, the hook we recommend using with this fly is the Gamakatsu SL12S in size 2. With the provided materials, you should be able to tie 24+ total flies. you will have excess materials for future use.
